A little bit of this and a little bit of that.

**Disclaimer** Ok. Well this just sucks. I had a good three long paragraphs typed and then I hit a button and erased everything and somehow my post was not autosaved, so I am starting over from scratch. My mood has definitely changed so I'll see if I can keep up the same energy while I RE-TYPE everything I had just written. *Sigh.*

I know it's been awhile since my last post, but I just haven't felt like anything I've been doing has been worthy of writing about, but I've had a few requests for some new reading material so I will just give a little recap of what's been going on in my world during the last month.

I turned 27 in February and ended up celebrating my birthday for about a week or so which is kind of ironic because this was the first birthday that I was not excited for. I don't know why, but turning 27 just did nothing for me. I mean we all know the fun that comes with turning 21, and my car insurance went down significantly when 25 rolled around. 26 wasn't even bad because that's still close to 25. Somehow I just was not jazzed for 27. Nonetheless, I had a great birthday complete with my very own birthday cake from D, and some fun birthday dinners at Mulligan's, Bar Louie, and Chester Tavern with amazing friends and family. And let me tell you, if you've never had the grilled cheese at Mulligan's you are definitely missing out on a little slice of heaven. You have to get it with bacon and tomato though. Superb. One of the highlights of my birthday was a party at Fox's with all of our friends, complete with a sparkly tiara courtesy of J and L, and a Napoleon Dynamite dance performed by Molls to end the night. Life can not get better.

Also included in last month was a yummy dinner with D at Mitchell's Fish Market for Valentines Day. We had been there before for an anniversary and both enjoyed it, so we decided to make a return visit. Of course it was crowded being VDay and all, but luckily we had reservations and ended up being seated at a booth in the corner, which is my preference. I hate going to those restaurants where they seat you at those teeny tables right between other people and the one side is a bench. Yuck. Check please. We both had great meals. D had a sampler of a bunch of breaded seafood and I had the lobster ravioli and a 4 oz. lobster tail on the side. Does it sound good? Well, it was.

A fantastic February also opened a new chapter for D and me. Our roommate moved out a little over a week ago, so now we have the house all to ourselves. It should definitely bring about some interesting and entertaining events, and yes, much to D's dismay, I will be sure to keep everyone in the loop when these events occur. One cool thing that came with the roomie moving (across the street to be exact) is that I now get to use my creative side and do a little cleaning and redecorating. Last week I finished painting the downstairs bedroom (where we will be relocating to). It's a color called "Serious Gray" but as of now, it looks more like a slate blue color to me. We shall see how it looks once we have some furniture in the room. The downstairs bathroom is next, and I'll be painting it a fun, light bluey teal color called "Calypso", and I have a black and white shower curtain and some other black accents. I think it will look fairly sharp. If I start remembering to break out the camera and take some pictures, maybe I can show you the end results. It's exciting for me to do this, as I've never had a whole house to decorate and paint and do all the fun stuff that girls like to do. It's not technically my house - D owns it, but I do live here, so I've been starting to refer to it as OUR house, because if I don't consider it be my house too, then I technically don't have a home, and that's just a sad thought. Not to mention, I've lived here full time for over a year, so that's got to give me some kind of credit...or something...right?

We also got an elliptical from D's parents at the beginning of Feb so I've been working out pretty consistently for 4 days a week since then. Talk about getting old. Using the elliptical beats the crap out of me. No young chicken here. No sir. It does feel good, but I am more anxious to see some results, and I am not the most patient person that has ever lived so that kind of stinks, but I am still hopeful. I certainly can see a difference in the muscles in my legs or midget sticks region as someone I know might call them, but other than that, I'm not seeing many other changes. We are going to Florida next month though, so that is my current motivation. I do not need to scare all the beach goers by showing off my "stellar" physique in a bathing suit.

That's about all I've got for the moment, but I will surely have some more riveting things to write about as we are entering wedding and baby shower season. I just got my first bridal shower invite, have attended one baby shower so far, and am currently planning a bridal shower and bachelorette party. Hold onto your seat belts peeps. Thanks for listening.
